ENVIRONMENTAL PUBLIC RELATIONS CONSULTANCY LAUNCHES
Wales' first Public Relations and marketing consultancy specialising in the environmental and ethical sector has been launched. Greenlink Wales Ltd is a Cardiff-based not-for profit consultancy that provides full-service communications to organisations and existing environmental charities aiming to communicate, enhance, develop and improve their ‘green' credentials and ethical corporate policy.
More than half (56 per cent¹) of businesses in Wales will be making environmental improvements and emissions reductions a priority this year, as organisations respond to the growing evidence that their environmental and ethical stance is increasingly influencing buyer behaviour with consumers demanding greater corporate responsibility and transparency. Indeed, a report by the Carbon Trust, for instance, stated that two-thirds of consumers are more likely to buy products and services that have a low carbon footprint.
Yet the majority of organisations in Wales report their frustration at the lack of environmental knowledge, understanding, and expertise that existing public relations and marketing consultancies have which, in turn, leads to ineffective communications. Consequently, Greenlink Wales Ltd is perfectly positioned to fill this void as the only specialist environmental consultancy.
Paul MacKenzie-Cummins, co-founder of Greenlink Wales, said:
"Greenlink Wales offers its clients a unique approach to marketing communications. Unlike most other agencies, we only specialise in one sector - the environmental and ethical field. Both myself and Ellen Petts, co-founder, have several years' experience working within the environmental sector in a public relations, journalism and marketing capacity. As such, we are able to offer unparalleled knowledge and expertise that has already attracted several leading blue chip and charitable organisations across Wales."
The launch of Greenlink Wales Ltd coincides with Wales being proclaimed the world's first Fairtrade Nation and the launch of Green Matters Wales - Wales' first and only environmental and ethical lifestyle magazine, published by Greenlink Wales Ltd.
Paul commented: "As environmental emissions and ethical practices rise further up the political agenda, those companies who take the initiative on these issues now will be well-positioned to shape regulations and policies. And in the long term, they will be the biggest winners."
