Specialist appointments strengthen team at Axiom
Leading contract electronics firm, Axiom Manufacturing Services, has made two key appointments as the company continues to increase its share of key markets.
The new appointments bring with them nearly 40 years combined industry experience and will help drive the business forward, helping to position it among the UK's top three contract electronics manufacturers.
Mike Jones joins Axiom as quality manager while Simon Crewe joins as supply chain manager.
Mike, a graduate in electrical and electronic engineering, has almost 25 years experience in the sector, having previously had responsibility for manufacturing facilities across the world with a global manufacturing company.
In his new role Mike will be responsible for the quality assurance department at Axiom, overseeing the development, maintenance and continual improvement of the firm's quality management system.
Commenting on the appointment he said: "We are currently witnessing a resurgence in the UK manufacturing industry, especially in the highly technical and bespoke products in which Axiom specialises.
"This is an exciting time to be joining the company as it continues to go through a period of growth. I am very much looking forward to upholding and further developing the high quality standards for which Axiom is known."
Simon Crewe joins Axiom from a leading international automotive company where he was supply-chain development manager. Simon, who holds an MBA, has 15 years experience in this role and will help Axiom maintain and develop its streamlined and efficient supply chain process.

Axiom, which employs 220 people, provides hi-tech services for the medical, industrial, defence and aerospace industries throughout the UK and Europe. It is currently one of the UK's top ten contract electronic manufacturers.
