New Sales Manager Signals Growth Drive by

Patrick Ibeziako has joined Gwent Hospitals Contributory Fund, which was established in 1839, with a specific remit to expand membership to both the organisations' corporate and private health cash plan packages.

This new appointment represents a new era for the Newport-based company which believes there are opportunities to expand both its client base and area of operation, despite the current recession.

Patrick, 29, has a degree in accounting and finance from Leeds Metropolitan University and a wealth of experience in client relationship building, account management and business development. Previously he has worked for Hayes Recruitment Agency in Newport as a consultant specialising in public and private sector office support roles and for KMS Components Ltd in Cardiff.

In his new role, Patrick will assume responsibility for raising awareness of the Fund among potential corporate clients, maintaining and developing the existing client base as well as organising events and seminars to profile the benefits of a health cash plan.

Andy Wilkins, Gwent Hospital Contributory Fund's chief executive, said: "We're delighted to welcome Patrick to the team and are looking forward to working alongside him. This is a strategic appointment for us as he has an excellent track record as both a sales and account manager.

"We really believe that the current economic climate may present some excellent opportunities for us as companies begin to look for alternative methods of incentivising their employees at a time when pay rises are not a feasible option. Healthcare is often thought of as one of the most attractive benefits by workers when looking for employment."

Patrick added: "This is an exciting time for the Fund and I'm confident that we can continue to satisfy our current member base while also expand into new areas and take on corporate membership from larger oranisations than we have previously done."

Gwent Hospitals Contributory Fund is a not-for-profit organisation that is regulated by the Financial Services Authority. The Fund works with employers and individuals, by providing cash back benefits for a variety of routine medical needs including dental and optical treatments.
